WATERPROOFING
- 3-layer hydrophilic component.
- >10,000 mm water pressure after 5 washes
- 100% watertight seams.
- Adjustable dowels with hook-and-loop fastener
- Synthetic rubber dowel strip for more resistant waterproofing.
RESPIRABILITY
RET<15 : moyennement respirant.
Pour savoir si un tissu est respirant, on mesure sa résistance évaporative, appelée RET (test basé sur la norme ISO 11092). C’est sa capacité à laisser s’échapper vers l’extérieur la vapeur d’eau produite par le corps pendant l’effort.
POCKET
The large gusseted pocket on the right thigh features a letterbox closure and a storm cord to secure your gear.
FEATURES
The waistband is adjustable with semi-elasticated hook-and-loop fasteners. The overpants also feature an elasticated drawcord positioned under the chest and adjustable by tanka to ensure an excellent fit.
The knee, buttock and heel reinforcements are made of a component that is unalterable to abrasion and wear. They are fitted with removable articulated foam to protect the sailor's knees and buttocks.
step 1: before washing
Close all zips and flaps and remove any non-washable parts of the garment. Also remember to loosen straps and elastics and empty pockets.
Then turn the garment inside out to wash inside out.
step 2: washing your jacket
You can wash your jacket in a synthetic program at 30° or 40°C with your usual detergent. Do not use fabric softener, which could damage the garment's original performance, and of course do not use bleach.
Make sure you don't fold your jacket too much when you put it in the washing machine, and limit the load.
Very important: select a thorough rinse or double rinse to remove all detergent residues.
step 3: drying your jacket
Drying is essential to reactivate the water-repellent treatment.
We recommend that you let your jacket dry completely in the open air, flat on a drying rack. Never dry your jacket directly on a radiator.
Then tumble-dry on the synthetic program for a short time, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before putting it back on. Be careful not to over-dry the garment.
HOW TO REACTIVATE THE WATER REPELLENCY OF YOUR JACKET?
If, despite washing, rinsing and tumble-drying, the water droplets no longer run off the surface of your jacket, we recommend "re-waterproofing" with a water-repellent spray.
