Am I sure my T-shirt is warm enough for winter hiking?
The inside of your T-shirt is scratched, a process known to conserve heat. The principle is simple: the component's mesh is structured to create volume and trap air, a natural insulator. It's exactly the same principle as that of fur or animal feathers.
Trimming and cutting
Close-fitting cut. Take your usual size or one size larger if you prefer to wear your clothes looser.
How should I dress for snow hiking?
To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend applying the 3-layer principle:
layer 1: technical undergarments allow moisture transfer to keep the skin dry.
layer 2: the second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and moisture transfer.
layer 3: the jacket protects against external conditions: rain, snow, wind.
The whole garment must be breathable to evacuate moisture.
Component test :
Abrasion and rub resistance tests: for example, we use laboratory tests to ensure that fleeces do not pilling. Colorfastness test: dye fastness is checked to ensure that no bleeding is possible. Ageing test: repeated washing must not alter the fabric's properties, behavior, thickness or appearance.
