How does the wool in the MT500 t-shirt limit the proliferation of odors?
Thanks to its high absorption capacity, wool limits the appearance of unpleasant odors. In fact, merino wool not only absorbs the water contained in sweat, it also absorbs the exhalations of perspiration odors. So you can wear your t-shirt for several days in a row, which means you can take fewer clothes with you on your trek!
How did we enhance the durability of our MT500 trekking shirt?
Use of a BETA-SPUN yarn structure in which polyamide filaments form a fine sheath around the merino wool fibers, protecting them from chafing and cutting without altering their technical properties.
How does the merino wool in the MT500 T-shirt help perspiration evaporate?
After exertion and heavy perspiration, merino wool easily traps warm insulating air and can absorb up to 35% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp, which is appreciable in cool weather. In hot, dry weather, the evaporation of water from the wool absorbs energy, which in turn cools your body slightly.
Where does the merino wool used in the MT500 merino wool t-shirt come from?
We use wool from Merino sheep raised on farms in South Africa that do not practice mulesing.
We have decided to build a partnership with a group of breeders (Konsortium Merino) to enable us to ensure the good living and shearing conditions of the sheep from which the wool used in our products comes.
We thus have a traceability system that enables us to guarantee the origin of the wool.
How do I wash my MT500 merino wool T-shirt?
We recommend that you machine-wash your merino wool t-shirt at 30°C, normal cycle, preferably with a liquid detergent. Dry flat, NEVER tumble dry, unless you want a merino t-shirt for a doll! You can find an article on the care of merino wool garments on the Forclaz website.
Any last words of advice before use?
