TECHNICAL INFORMATION

HOW DID WE INCREASE THE DURABILITY OF OUR MERINO WOOL T-SHIRTS?

We use a BETA-SPUN yarn structure in which polyamide filaments form a fine sheath around the merino wool fibers, protecting them from chafing and cutting without impairing their benefits.

ODOR CONTROL

This component limits perspiration odors.
This merino wool T-shirt can be worn for several days at a time, so you can carry fewer clothes on your trek and lighten your backpack!

FREEZING EFFECT LIMITATION

After exertion and heavy perspiration, merino wool easily traps warm insulating air and can absorb up to 35% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp, which is appreciable in cool weather.
In hot, dry weather, the evaporation of water from wool absorbs energy, which in turn cools your body slightly.

A LITTLE ADVICE BEFORE USE

For even softer components, wash your T-shirt before using it for the first time.

HOW DO I WASH MY T-SHIRT CONTAINING MERINO WOOL?

We recommend that you machine-wash your MT500 Merino T-shirt at 30°, normal cycle, preferably with a liquid detergent.

Dry flat, NEVER tumble dry unless you want to lose one or two sizes!

TESTS

In November 2018, 8 trekkers (4 men and 4 women) accompanied by part of the Forclaz design team tested this t-shirt for 4 days in the French Southern Alps (Lus la Croix Haute). The program included wind, rain, a little snow, a bivouac... and a lot of good humor! We were thus able to make some final modifications and validate it for mountain trekking use.
