Balls or marbles? Holes or pockets? We explain the vocabulary of billiards.
You often hear the terms "balls" or "holes" used in billiards, but these are not the terms used by connoisseurs.
In fact, if you want to get into billiards, you're going to have to fit balls (not balls) into pockets (not holes).
How? By pushing the colored balls into the white ball with your cue stick. We call it a "cue" rather than a "stick".
Are you new to billiards? Our team has some advice on how to get started:
Contrary to popular belief, billiards is indeed a sport, and a precision sport at that!
Practice on your folding billiard table to achieve precise movements.
When it's your turn, take the time to find a position where you're stable.
Finally, as in chess, establish a strategy before you shoot.
Clearly? A beginner shoots into the pile to see what happens, while a trained player visualizes his moves before shooting.
Remember to maintain your billiard table
Did you know? The cloth of your folding billiard table needs to be cleaned between 2 games, using the brush included in your kit. But you'll also need to wipe down your cue, balls and other equipment at the end of the game.
This will extend the life of all your accessories.
You'll also need to vacuum your cloth from time to time to keep it in good condition.
This cloth cannot be changed.
