What dimensions? What weight?
Our mat measures 180 cm long and 62 cm wide, with a thickness of 1.3 mm. It weighs 950 grams.
Carpet or Over-Carpet?
Travel mats are very thin and therefore not comfortable. They can, of course, be used on the floor for the more experienced.
Not recommended for people with sensitive joints who are looking for comfort.
Travel mats can be used as over-mats during retreats or in the studio, providing hygiene while enjoying the comfort of the mat on site.
The smell of rubber
Rubber has a natural smell. Some people love it, others not so much. If this is your case, you should know that it disappears with time. And our tip: ideally, air the mat open before use.
How to care for your rubber travel mat?
We recommend washing the mat with a soft cloth and slightly soapy water.
The travel mat is machine-washable at 30°.
Between more thorough washes, you can spray your mat with our essential oils spray, which will refresh it.
It's best to keep it rolled up, so that the rubber doesn't retain wrinkles for long. Avoid leaving it in the sun, as natural rubber dries out and loses its adhesive properties.
How to choose the right yoga mat?
- Do you practice gentle yoga (such as Hatha, Restorative, Pre-natal, Nidra...)? The posture sequences are slow and the physical intensity rather moderate.
A mat between 5 and 8 mm ensures comfort for the neck and joints.
- Do you practice dynamic yoga (Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Hot, Bikram...)? Posture sequences are fast-paced and the physical intensity is high.
A mat of up to 5 mm provides grip and stability for balance.
