TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Fresh & Black technology for more coolness and darkness in your tent

More coolness and darkness for a better night's sleep!
Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon which enables us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate light thanks to specific materials.
In this way, we reduce the feeling of heat in your tent, and gain in darkness.
To make the most of this technology, don't forget to ventilate your tent at night!

Tent assembly and dismantling

Quick to set up.
The tent is self-supporting: you can place it wherever you like once it's up, so you can choose the best location.
If there's no wind, you don't have to put the pegs in.
This tent is easy to fold thanks to the guiding system.

Mattress compatibility

Tent recommended with self-inflating mattresses or trekking mattresses up to 70 cm wide.
We advise against using inflatable mattresses thicker than 8 cm in this tent.
This greatly reduces the volume inside the tent and encourages condensation inside.

Tent ventilation

To allow air to circulate and be renewed between the bedroom and the flysheet, and to limit the natural phenomenon of condensation, the tent has 2 side panels that can be opened and hooked onto the side stays (opening from the inside).

Waterproofing the tent

All our tents are validated in the laboratory and in the field to guarantee waterproofing.
To do this, we place the entire tent under a shower that releases 200 liters of water per hour for 3 hours.
The rain fly is made of 2000mm Schmerber PU-coated polyester, the ground sheet of 120 g/m² polyethylene, and all seams are sealed with heat-bonded strips.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side. A properly erected tent, with all guy wires properly deployed around the tent, should remain habitable in a wind speed measured at 50 km/h close to the ground (Force 6).
