TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Fresh & Black technology for more coolness and darkness in your tent

More coolness and darkness for a better night's sleep!
Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon which enables us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate light thanks to specific materials.
In this way, we reduce the feeling of heat in your tent, and gain in darkness.
To make the most of this technology, don't forget to ventilate your tent at night!

Tent assembly and dismantling

On this tent, we're talking about a classic dome setup.
Simply install the poles with the chamber, then attach the top pole and finally lay the rainfly on top.
To dismantle, simply do the reverse.

Mattress compatibility

Tent recommended with self-inflating mattresses or trekking mattresses up to 65 cm wide.
We do not recommend the use of inflatable mattresses thicker than 8 cm in this tent.
This greatly reduces the volume inside the tent and encourages condensation inside.

Tent ventilation

To allow air to circulate and be renewed between the bedroom and the flysheet, and to limit the natural phenomenon of condensation as much as possible, the tent has 2 top vents and 2 mechanical side vents.

Waterproofing the tent

All our tents are validated in the laboratory and in the field to guarantee waterproofing.
To do this, we place the entire tent under a shower that releases 200 liters of water per hour for 3 hours.
The rain fly is made of 2000mm Schmerber PU-coated polyester, the ground sheet of 120 g/m² polyethylene, and all seams are sealed with heat-sealed strips.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side. A properly erected tent, with all guy wires properly deployed around the tent, should remain habitable in wind speeds measured at 40 km/h close to the ground (Force 5).
