What does the MH100 XL camping tent kit consist of?
The tent bag contains everything you need to set up your tent:
- 1 chamber;
- 1 waterproof rain fly;
- 3 poles (2 black poles for the chamber and 1 red pole for the rain fly);
- 15 pegs;
- 4 guy ropes.
How to assemble and dismantle the MH100 XL tent?
For the MH100 XL, this is a classic dome setup.
Simply install the poles with the chamber, then lay the fly over the top.
Then install the 3rd pole for the storage area.
To dismantle, simply do the reverse.
Which mattress to use with the MH100 XL dome tent?
With the MH100 XL, we recommend using a self-inflating or trekking mattress up to 65 cm wide.
We do not recommend using an inflatable mattress thicker than 8 cm in this tent.
This greatly reduces the volume inside the tent and encourages condensation inside.
How is condensation limited in the MH100 XL tent?
To allow air to circulate and be renewed between the bedroom and the flysheet, and to limit the natural phenomenon of condensation as much as possible, the tent has 1 top vent and 1 interior door with mesh on the top.
How is the MH100 XL waterproof tent tested?
Like all our tents, the MH100 XL has been tested both in the laboratory and in the field to guarantee waterproofing.
For this purpose, the entire tent was placed under a shower for 3 hours, with 200 liters of water discharged per hour.
The rain fly is made of PU 2000-coated polyester mm Schmerber, the ground sheet of polyethylene 120 g/m², and all seams are sealed with heat-bonded strips.
How windproof is the MH100 XL?
The MH100 XL tent was tested in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent. To validate the test, the tent, properly erected with all guy wires properly deployed around the tent, had to remain inhabitable with a wind speed measured at 40 km/h close to the ground (Force 5).
