Weights, volumes & dimensions may vary slightly due to production tolerances.
Dimensions and habitability
Chamber length 210 cm
Width 120 cm
Interior height 108 cm (at highest point)
Total tent height 120 cm
Two 60 cm deep side apses (storage space between the chamber and the flysheet) can each accommodate a backpack (approx. 50-70 liters), mountain gear and a pair of hiking boots.
2 pockets in the chamber. 1 interior top hook for hanging a lamp and an adjustable clothesline.
Architecture, hoops and sardines
Aluminium hoops 7001. Dome Ø 8.5 mm ; top hoop Ø 9.5 mm.
Lightness and strength of aluminum.
Stakes / pegs:
Length 17 cm, Ø 6.1 mm.
Non-anodized 7075 aluminum for maximum strength and lightness.
Traditional dome shape for self-supporting structure and good strength. A top arch adds volume and therefore habitability.
Assembly / disassembly
Extremely fast assembly and disassembly.
The double canopy and chamber are pre-assembled. Simply slide the pole into the sleeves on the fly (color-coded). Dismantling is just as quick.
To store the tent in its cover, simply fold the tent onto itself until it's about the same width as the cover, fold the pole into a bundle and place it on top of the chamber & fly, then roll up the whole compactly to slip them into the cover.
Waterproofing
Forclaz tents are laboratory-tested: tent erected, 200 liters/m²/hour (3 hours, equivalent to a tropical downpour). They are also field-tested by a panel of users.
75-denier polyester double-roof, coated polyurethane (inside), water-repellent treatment (outside), P75D chamber carpet.
Seams taped with heat-sealed strips.
Multi-component chamber (P66D) combining breathability, wind protection and condensation control.
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in wind tunnels, in a wind tunnel on a turntable, to expose each side of the tent to the wind.
To guarantee wind resistance, the tent must be properly erected, stretched without excess, with all guy wires properly deployed around the tent. This will ensure that the tent remains habitable even when the wind speed is measured at 70 km/h close to the ground.
Our tents are certified by the independent CSTB laboratory in Nantes.
Ventilation and condensation control
Mosquito netting for ventilation and water-repellent fabric to protect against condensation and draughts. There is ample ventilation at the front of the tent, as well as ventilation at the feet.
To limit condensation inside the tent, it must be correctly pitched, with the canvas stretched taut, but not excessively so. Ventilation and good air circulation limit humidity inside.
Seasons
3-season tent: your tent will protect you from the harsh weather conditions you may encounter in spring, summer or autumn. It will withstand small snowfalls, but is not designed to withstand heavy loads on the structure.
In the event of snow, remember to shake your tent regularly to remove any accumulated snow from the ground, and to avoid putting too much weight on the tent structure.
Repairability and after-sales service
As designers, we are concerned about the reparability of our products; you will find spare parts (poles, chamber...) on the shelves or in the workshop of your store Decathlon, on decathlon.fr or at support.decathlon.fr
In the event of a problem, don't hesitate to have your tent examined in your store Decathlon.
Repair kit (ferrule, patch): 20 g
Resistance
Your tent is designed for touring bivouacs, not for static use in direct sunlight.
We advise you to avoid leaving your tent in direct sunlight as much as possible, as ultra-light fabrics can be sensitive to UV rays, which can weaken them.
Warranty
5 years.
