4 pockets (2 side and 2 top) for storing and organizing your gear.

Architecture, hoops and sardines

Light & frost-resistant aluminum hoop: 7001 T6 aluminum Yunan SD70PF Ø 9 mm.
Optimized square pegs: "anvil" head, over-thickness body, making them very strong and light (7075 T6 aluminum).

Double-Y dome shape: the main hoop splits into 4 legs at each corner to allow the structure to be self-supporting. A top arch adds volume and therefore habitability.

Assembly / disassembly

The double-roof and the chamber are separate. Assembly is traditional: the chamber is placed on the ground and clipped onto the hoops. The double canopy then covers the whole assembly. Adjust tensions.
If necessary, the chamber can be dismantled from the inside.
Color-coding on the hoop, chamber and flysheet makes assembly intuitive.

In case of rain, to assemble the flysheet first, you'll need a compatible ground sheet (ref 8545730).

Waterproofing

Forclaz tents are laboratory-tested: tent erected, 200 liters/m²/hour (3 hours, equivalent to a tropical downpour). They are also field-tested by a panel of users.
20-denier polyester (PES) rainfly and 40D polyamide (PA) ground sheet are made of coated polyurethane (inside) & silicone (outside).
Seams sealed with heat-sealed tape.
Multi-component chamber combining breathability, wind protection and condensation control.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in wind tunnels, in a wind tunnel on a turntable, to expose each side of the tent to the wind.
To guarantee wind resistance, the tent must be properly erected, stretched without excess, with all guy wires properly deployed around the tent. This will ensure that the tent remains habitable even when the wind speed is measured at 70 km/h close to the ground.

Our tents are certified by the independent CSTB laboratory in Nantes.

Ventilation and condensation control

Mosquito netting for ventilation and water-repellent fabric to protect against condensation and draughts. There are 2 large vents at the top, which you can close with a Velcro fastener.
To limit condensation inside the tent, it must be correctly pitched, with the canvas taut, but not excessively so. Double-cursor zips on doors to keep them open. Ventilation and good air circulation limit humidity inside the tent.

Seasons

3-season tent: your tent will protect you from the harsh weather conditions you may encounter in spring, summer or autumn. It will withstand small snowfalls, but is not designed to withstand heavy loads on the structure.
In the event of snow, remember to shake your tent regularly to remove any accumulated snow from the ground, and to avoid putting too much weight on the tent structure.

Repairability and after-sales service

As designers, we are concerned about the durability of our products, which is why all our tents are designed to be repairable.
You can find spare parts (poles, chamber, etc.) on the shelves or in the workshop of your store Decathlon, on decathlon.fr or at support.decathlon.fr

Resistance

Your tent is designed for touring bivouacs, so it is not intended for static use in direct sunlight.
We advise you to avoid leaving your tent in direct sunlight as much as possible, as ultra-light fabrics can be sensitive to UV rays, which can weaken them.
