Fresh & Black technology for more coolness and darkness in your tent
More coolness and darkness for a better night's sleep!
Fresh & black is a technology patented by Decathlon which enables us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate light thanks to specific materials.
In this way, we reduce the feeling of heat in your tent, and gain in darkness.
To make the most of this technology, don't forget to ventilate your tent at night!
Sun protection
Our Fresh&Black technology is based on a fabric with UPF 50+ sun protection.
Caution: be careful, a lot of UV can pass through a simple open door.
Ventilation
The ventilated fly over the living room provides ventilation and limits condensation in your tent. On the outside of the two rear bedrooms is a high ventilation flap. On the inside, there's a low ventilation flap. The last chamber is optimally positioned for air circulation. The bedrooms are fitted with mosquito nets on the top of the doors and on the bottoms. The living room has two mosquito nets, one on the top of the door and the other on the wall.
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.
With proper assembly and the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in a force 7 wind, measured at 60 km/h.
Don't forget to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (7 Psi).
Waterproofing
We test our tents to ensure they are waterproof. The first test is carried out in the laboratory for 3 hours under 200 liters of water per hour per m², the equivalent of a tropical rainfall of 200 mm per hour. The second test is carried out in the field under real conditions by our teams. This tent is equipped with a 2000 mm polyurethane-coated polyester rain fly. It also features heat-sealed seams and a 190 g/m² polyethylene ground sheet.
Repair
As designers and enthusiasts of our playground, we care about the durability of our products. That's why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and repairs for inflatable poles are available at your local Decathlon workshop or at Decathlon.fr.
Arches and posts
Inflatable hoops - All our inflatable hoops have a two-layer arch structure: a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) inner tube and a 600-denier polyester cover*.
Stay reinforcement - An aluminum bar is present in the stay to stiffen the structure.
Stakes - All our stakes are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.
4 hard ground stakes are included.
*600 deniers indicates a weight of 600 g for 9 m length.
Maintenance tips
Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks a year) on camping trips or in the great outdoors. Continuous exposure to UV rays for several weeks may damage the fabric. These products do not fall into the "garden furniture" category and are not designed for permanent outdoor use. To ensure the longest possible life for your tent, it is important to store it when not in use.
