Dimensions and habitability

Chamber length 225 cm.
Chamber width 60 cm at the head and 50 cm at the feet.
Chamber height 95 cm.
2 aluminum stakes (each with 2 rods) at the feet increase the useful volume.
A 60 cm-deep side apse (storage space between the chamber and the flysheet) can accommodate a 50-60 liter backpack, mountain gear and a pair of hiking boots.
1 mesh storage pocket in the chamber.

A few assembly tips

Start by setting your poles to a length of 115 cm.

Then plant the sardines in the 4 corners of the tarp tent. As the tarpaulin and bedroom are pre-assembled, slide one pole under the tarpaulin, in line with the door, and the other, opposite, on the outside, on the solid wall side.

Then install the 2 aluminum stakes in the slots provided at the foot of the tent.

All that remains is to guy the tent and adjust the tension (you can adjust the height of the poles).

And for disassembly

This is a very simple operation.
Simply remove the 2 poles that made up the tent's structure, then, once the guy ropes are undone and the pegs removed from the ground, fold the tent, taking into account the width of the cover.

Little tip: leave the 2 pegs in their housing, you'll save time the next time you set it up!

Architecture, hoops and sardines

This tarp tent requires the use of 2 trekking poles (ideal height 115cm - max 120cm) to form its structure.

These poles are not supplied with the tent.
The anvil-shaped head of the 7075 T6 aluminum pegs makes them very strong.

This design makes for a very light tent, but one that needs to be secured to the ground, as it cannot be erected on its own.

Waterproofing

Forclaz tents are laboratory-tested:
- tent erected, 200 liters/m²/hour (3 hours, equivalent to a tropical downpour).
- 20-denier polyester double-roof (2,000 mm) and 40-denier polyamide ground sheet (3,000 mm) are made of coated polyurethane (inside) and siliconized polyurethane (outside).
- seams sealed with heat-bonded strips.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in wind tunnels, in a wind tunnel on a turntable, to expose each side of the tent to the wind.
To guarantee wind resistance, the tent must be properly erected, stretched without excess, with all guy wires properly deployed around the tent. This will ensure that the tent remains habitable even when the wind speed is measured at 70 km/h close to the ground.

Our tents are certified by the independent CSTB laboratory in Nantes.

Ventilation and condensation control

Upper ventilation located at door level.
Upper part of the chamber made of mesh fabric to promote air circulation.
Water-repellent fabric around the perimeter of the chamber to protect against humidity and draughts.
To limit condensation inside the tent, it must be correctly pitched, with the canvas stretched without excess and the ventilations open.

Seasons

3-season tent: your tent will protect you from the harsh weather conditions you may encounter in spring, summer or autumn.
It will withstand light snowfalls, but is not designed to withstand heavy loads on the structure. In the event of snow, remember to shake your tent regularly to remove any accumulated snow from the ground and avoid putting too much weight on the structure.

Resistance

Your tent is designed for touring bivouacs, not for static daily use. We advise you to avoid leaving it in direct sunlight as much as possible, as ultralight fabrics can be sensitive to UV rays, which can weaken them.

Repairability and after-sales service

All our tents are designed to be repairable. For this model, you will find the following spare parts:
- the rain fly (ref 8795874)
- the inner chamber (ref 8795877 )
