Typology
Flip-flops are summer shoes with a simple rubber sole, held to the foot by a strap passed between the first two toes of the foot, or by crossed straps that wrap around the instep. Easy to put on and take off, they leave the foot bare and ventilated. Water- and sand-resistant, they're perfect for walking on a hot beach.
