How to choose the right combination (Part 1)
The first criterion for choosing a wetsuit is water temperature. Water temperature varies according to location and time of year. So always make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Waters above 21°C. Water between 17 and 22°C. Water between 12 and 17°C. Water between 7 and 12°C. Consult seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right combination (Part 2)
The 2nd criterion to consider is the duration of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models are ideal. For up to 2 hours, choose a 500 model, and for up to 3 hours, a 900 model. Compared to 100 models, 500 models will limit fatigue more (+ freedom of movement) and limit irritation better. The same applies to 900 models compared to 500 models.
NB: 900 models are easier to put on.
Thermicity and wind
The minimum water temperature recommended for use of this Neoprene top is 21°C. Maximum session duration: up to 3 hours.
This top is made entirely of Neoprene.
Neoprene: how does it work?
By immobilizing a film of water around the body, the top works two ways:
1- Trapped water gradually warms up
2- Heat transfer decreases.
Materials
The Top Néoprène 900 Olaian is made from 100% Neoprene for maximum comfort.
The Neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for greater resistance to wear and tear.
Neoprene thickness: 1.5 mm.
We test and guarantee the quality of our Neoprene materials.
Reduces irritation
This neoprene top limits chafing and irritation caused by contact with the surfboard or bodyboard. We've designed seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation from paddling movements. Our test protocols validated that chafing was limited during 3-hour sessions.
Support system
The Olaian top has a buckle at the navel to tie it to the boardshort. This tie holds the top in place, preventing it from riding up during practice and keeping it securely in place on the back.
Choosing the right size
A neoprene top should be worn very snugly to guarantee maximum thermal efficiency. It's normal to feel too tight when trying them on in the cabin or at home. This discomfort quickly disappears as soon as the top gets wet.

Multi-water sports neoprene top
Our tops are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, longe-côte and SUP (stand-up paddle).
Behavior in the sun
Although this top provides protection from the sun, phenomena such as reverberation (off water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing this top does not exempt you from adopting appropriate behavior: wearing sunglasses, a hat or cap, regular application of a suitable sun cream, drinking regularly, etc.
Collar
The neck finish has been designed to limit irritation. The application of a greasy cream (e.g. Vaseline) in areas of friction (neck, armpits) is also recommended for long-term use.
Closing
Our zips and fasteners are laboratory-tested to ensure optimum durability and resistance to salt water. We position the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for greater comfort when practicing board sports (lying down while rowing).
