TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Which balls can I put in this triangle?

This triangle will allow you to place your 15 American billiard balls (colored, numbered, solid and striped) with a diameter of 57.2 mm.
It is suitable for the BT 700 US billiard table as well as all standard American billiard tables.

Not suitable for

This triangle is not suitable for balls smaller than 57.2 mm, such as the English billiard balls (50.8 mm) found in the BT 700 UK billiard table. We also advise against using this triangle for balls from the BT 100 billiard table or the BT 500 folding table (44 mm). The triangle will be too large and it will be difficult to place and glue your balls correctly.

How do I place my billiard balls in the 8-ball game?

There are different ways to play pool: the 8-ball game (the most popular), the 9-ball game, the 10-ball game and the 14/1 continuous game.

For the 8-ball game, you'll need to place the 8-ball in the center and the two balls at the ends of the base of the triangle must not belong to the same family: solid or striped (the choice of side doesn't matter).
The remaining 12 balls must be placed randomly (and yes, even the one at the head of the triangle).

How do I place my billiard balls in the 9-ball and 10-ball games?

The 9-ball game, as its name suggests, is played with balls numbered 1 to 9.
The balls are positioned in a diamond shape. The 9-ball must be in the center and the 1-ball at the head of the diamond. The other balls must be placed randomly.

The 10-ball game is played with balls numbered 1 to 10. The 10-ball must be in the center and the 1-ball at the head of the triangle. The other marbles can be placed randomly.

Where to place your triangle on the billiard table?

For American billiards, once you've placed your balls in the triangle, position the ball at the head of your triangle on the intersection of the 2 diagonals formed by the first 4 pockets. Now all you have to do is break!
