TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Why choose the B1 scooter?

For its 2 front wheels and unique, patented directional system. This combination, designed in collaboration with a psychomotor therapist, enables the tray to tilt at a precise, safe angle for the child (this system prevents lateral imbalance when the child moves forward or turns).
Its curved handlebar is designed for better positioning of the child.
Intuitive and easy to use, the B1 helps the child to find his way, accompanies his psychomotor development and assists him in his learning.

How does the B1 scooter influence children's psychomotor development?

The search for balance, the coordination of hands, feet and eyes, and the orientation of the body in space are all skills that will contribute to your child's psychomotor development.
The 3-wheel B1 scooter has been specially studied and designed with the help of a psychomotor therapist to facilitate the acquisition of all these skills, and enable even the youngest children, aged 2 and over, to learn while having fun!

How does the B1 scooter work?

Thanks to its unique, patented directional system, the B1 tray tilts at a precise angle to follow the natural, ideal movement of the child's body through every turn. This system prevents the child from becoming laterally unbalanced when moving forward or turning. It's so intuitive that it facilitates the development of the child's fundamental motor skills.

What are the safety rules for using the B1 children's scooter?

Protective equipment is recommended when riding a scooter. This is especially true for young children! Remember to equip your child with a helmet, and possibly knee and elbow pads, depending on his or her level.

How does B1 make sliding easy for kids?

PU rubber wheels and ABEC 1 bearings offer a glide quality that matches the abilities of a 2-4 year-old: good, but limited. The aim is not to frighten children with excessive speed.

How much does the B1 weigh?

1.8 kg: easy for children to use, easy for adults to carry!

How do I change the shell on a B1 scooter?

The B1 children's scooter is easy to assemble, thanks to 5 quick-release screws that secure the colored shell to the frame. This shell, sold separately and essential for scooter use, can be renewed as often as you like... Perfect for giving your scooter a new lease of life!

What are the dimensions of the B1 children's scooter?

The B1 children's scooter has been designed to make children feel totally at ease:
Deck length: 30 cm
Deck width: 10.5 cm
Deck height: 5 cm
Front wheel diameter : 125 mm
Rear wheel diameter: 100 mm
Handlebar height low position: 45 cm (from tray)
Handlebar height high position: 59 cm (from tray)
Overall length: 56 cm
Wheelbase width: 26 cm

How to use the B1 scooter safely?

We advise you to check the condition of your scooter before and after every ride. Abnormal play, cracks, sharp edges... remember to check everything. Wheels and bearings are parts that wear out: remember to check them too, and replace them if necessary. To repair and extend the life of your scooter, contact your local Decathlon workshop, which can order spare parts if necessary.

Any tips for transporting your B1 scooter?

Handlebars detach in 1 second, then attach to the underside of the tray with a rubber strap. This clever trick makes it possible to transport or store your B1 in a very small space at home or in the car.

How are our products tested?

All our scooters are laboratory-tested. These tests are used to validate local legal standards for the use of scooters, as well as wear tests (e.g. a machine will fold a scooter 10,000 times to check the folding system). These lab tests are complemented by field tests, some measured, others based on the perceptions of the testers, who then put the product through its paces. The result: a tried and tested product
