What are the safety instructions for this scooter?
WARNING, you should wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads) when riding a scooter.
As most serious accidents occur in the first few months, take the time to learn the basics of scootering so you can master speed and braking in all emergency situations and weather conditions. Stop riding if the ground is slippery.
What kind of glide quality does the Town 5 XL offer?
Our designers have equipped this adult scooter with large 200 mm wheels with HIGH REBOUND PU rubber to make it a top performer on the move. A large wheel also facilitates relaunching while minimizing effort.
ABEC 5 bearings provide good rolling quality to also limit relaunching and, therefore, the effect of fatigue.
Is the Town 5 XL scooter fully equipped?
The long, wrap-around rear-wheel brake provides effective braking while protecting against splashing thanks to its dual mudguard function.
What about lighting? What are the possibilities with this scooter?
The Town 5 XL has an integrated mount on the rear fender and front handlebar for a "VIOO CLIP 500 B'TWIN" LED light (not supplied).
Is the Town 5 XL easy to handle?
The offset handlebars give you greater control over your direction and your surroundings.
These handlebars are also graduated, so you can easily adjust them to the right height and reposition them in the same place each time you adjust them.
Want to stop? Park it easily anywhere, thanks to its side stand.
How much does the Town 5 XL weigh?
5,1 kg.
How can I extend the life of my scooter?
We advise you to check your scooter before and after each ride for any abnormal play, cracks or sharp edges. Wheels and bearings are parts that wear out. Remember to check them too, and change them if necessary.
Repair and extend the life of your scooter with spare parts available and orderable through your DECATHLON store workshop.
How are our products tested?
All our scooters are laboratory-tested. These tests validate not only European standards for scooter use, but also wear tests (for example, a machine will fold a scooter 10,000 times to check the folding system).
These lab tests are complemented by field tests, some measured, others based on the perceptions of testers, who then put the product through its paces. The result: a tried and tested product.
Warranty
2 years except parts subject to wear (wheels, bearings, grip, handles, brakes).
