TECHNICAL INFORMATION

What's the difference between a freestyle scooter and a "normal" scooter?

The differences between a freestyle scooter and a classic scooter are quite similar to those between a BMX bike and a city bike.
A freestyle scooter has wider handlebars and smaller (and therefore more maneuverable) wheels. Its weight is also different (it's lighter) and it's more maneuverable: the aim being to perform tricks, the handlebars can make a complete turn, for example.
Finally, the freestyle scooter will also be stiffer and more solid.

How to choose the right size for your freestyle scooter?

To choose the right size for your freestyle scooter, stand on it and check that the handlebars are level with your hips, your arms are straight and your back is straight.

What type of fork is fitted to this scooter?

Reinforced T6 aluminum fork. Fork compatible with wheels up to 125 mm (integrated spacer system.
The spacer is located between the two bearings to relieve the pressure exerted on them).

What is a flex brake system?

A "flex brake" is designed to return to its original shape after each impulse. Its main difference from a spring brake is that it limits vibrations. This system also reduces wear on the wheel's rubber.

What pegs does this freestyle scooter come with?

Two aluminum pegs of different lengths, one for the front (longer) and the other for the rear (shorter). Its 36mm diameter makes it more stable when grinded and therefore easier to learn.

What type of handles are supplied with the MF3.6 scooter?

Grooved TPR handles ensure a good grip.

What type of clamp is used?

MF3.6 clamp in 6061 T6 aluminum with 2-screw tightening.
Compatible with handlebars from 31.8 mm to 34.9 mm in diameter thanks to its shim adapter.

What size are the wheels?

Wheels Oxelo diameter 120 mm, alloy core (wheel with spokes), high rebound PU 88A.
Wheels are mounted on 608Z ABEC-7 NMB bearings for long life.
This wheel size offers greater stability and speed on your freestyle scooter.

Why are there different wheel sizes?

100, 110 or 120 mm ? The larger the wheel diameter, the greater the rider's stability, enabling him to go faster...
The downside is weight. A larger wheel will be heavier and less easy to handle for tricks. Wheel size should therefore be chosen according to your objectives.

What's the deck made of?

The flat deck is made of anodized 6061 T6 aluminum. Triple-channel structure with 4 reinforcing rails for improved stability and better gliding when grinds on the modules.
Ergonomic design makes the deck easy to grip for grabs.
Dimensions: 115 x 530 mm.
Deck angle: 82.5°.

What are the handlebars of this scooter made of?

One-piece chromoly CrMo 4310 NOAP steel T-bar. Heavier but more rigid than aluminum, these handlebars ensure good safety.
Dimensions: Ø: 31.8 mm, H: 650 mm, L: 560 mm.
Total height: 915mm

How to limit steering play?

The MF3.6 integrated headset in 1"1'8 features a new IHC compression system to reduce play. The advantage: to prevent the scooter from loosening too quickly with a self-locking screw system.
This system must be retightened as soon as the scooter takes up play in the steering. Simply remove the bar by unscrewing the clamp at the bar, then retighten the self-locking screw.
A very simple system to adjust!

The scooter complies with the EN 14619 standard. What does this standard cover?

Standard EN 14619 defines safety requirements and test methods for roller sports equipment.

What are the safety rules for freestyle scooters?

As a general rule, you should wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads) when using a scooter.
Most serious accidents occur during the first few months of use: take the time to learn the basics of scooter use, so you can master speed and braking in all emergency situations and in all weather conditions (especially on wet ground).
