Valve
Water can enter the snorkel when diving or snorkeling (splashes, immersion). The valve at the bottom of the snorkel facilitates water expulsion. Most of the water is evacuated through the bottom of the snorkel, requiring less effort to exhale (unlike a conventional snorkel, where water is evacuated through the top).
Valve operation
Simply blow gently to empty the snorkel through the valve. After blowing, take care to breathe in gently, as some residual water may remain in the snorkel. If in doubt, don't panic, just lift your head out of the water and the snorkel will empty instantly through the valve. Intense swimming at high speed is not recommended, as it can cause the valve to move and lead to water ingress.
Valve maintenance
Sand or salt can sometimes get caught between the valve and the hard part of the snorkel, preventing the valve from lying flat and preventing it from performing its sealing function. Simply rinse the snorkel thoroughly with clean water and check that the valve lies flat.
Silicone tip
Silicone is an extremely flexible material. The mouthpiece therefore provides enhanced comfort in the mouth.
Semi-dry end with anticlapot
Located at the top of the snorkel, it is curved to protect the upper snorkel entrance. It therefore limits water ingress through the top of the snorkel.
