NORTH STAR COLLECTION
This exceptional collection evokes the mythical races that take place at night.
Your pack includes a bike, a pair of PERF 900 goggles and a post-race beanie.
The bike is not only race-ready with DUKE wheels and DUGAST tubulars, but also offers you the best of VAN RYSEL know-how with the PRO version of the RCX2 frame.
The bike is completed with a SRAM FORCE AXS drivetrain, ZIPP carbon handlebars and ZIPP carbon seatpost. Lightning acceleration
RCX 2 frame PRO
The ultimate version of the RCX 2 PRO frame, with ultra-high modulus fibers for even greater lightness and rigidity for the most demanding riders.
This frame benefits from a number of improvements over the RCX, including easier mud clearance at the seat tube / seatstay junction.
The main triangle has been raised and the main shape of the head tube has been specially designed to make it easier for the shoulder to pass through when carrying.
FRAME AND FORK
100% ultra-high modulus carbon frame and fork
UCI-approved frame
Cable routing in down tube.
Painted frame weight size M: 966g
Fork weight: 425g
TRANSMISSION
New power unit SRAM FORCE AXS 12 S. This electric transmission is extremely fast and precise. Shifting gears is a breeze, even on a steep hill! The system works with a removable external battery placed on the rear derailleur. To optimize use of your SRAM FORCE groupset, we recommend downloading the SRAM CONNECT application.
SHIFTER: SRAM FORCE D2
REAR DERAILLEUR: SRAM FORCE AXS D2
CHAIN: SRAM FORCE 12S
TRANSMISSION MAINTENANCE
We would like to draw your attention to the need for regular maintenance of your transmission, especially if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads)
Regular maintenance will make your transmission last longer.
Regular chain inspection is essential with this tool:

CYCLOCROSS WHEELS DUKE BACCARA 36T DISC
DUKE Baccara X-Machine wheels are carbon tubular wheels suitable for Cyclo-cross competition use, versatile on all types of surfaces (sand, mud, grass, etc.) Their 27.6 mm allows for better tubular seating, and thus improved grip and performance, limiting the risk of tubular stalls.

Front axle: 100 x 12
Rear axle: 142 x 12
Accepts tubulars from 28 mm to 38 mm cross-section
DUGAST TYPHOON CASINGS
DUGAST tubulars set the standard in the cyclocross world. The Typhoon model is designed for competition with a very versatile profile.
With a 100% cotton construction of the shape, you benefit from excellent puncture resistance, low rolling resistance and great handling in corners.
Weight: 390 g
Maximum pressure: 5 bars
BRAKES
SRAM FORCE disc brakes are hydraulic, so braking is more progressive and powerful than with hydromechanical brakes. 160 mm front and rear discs.
A running-in period is required. Simply make a series of 20 progressive brake applications at low speed (20 km/h), then a second series at 30 km/h. Both brakes need to be run-in.
Running-in improves adhesion between pad and disc.
HYDRAULIC BRAKE MAINTENANCE
Hydraulic brakes operate via a closed circuit between your brake lever and your caliper.
The system is sealed by a hose.
Over time, a normal loss of pressure in your hoses will occur, resulting in a loss of braking efficiency. When your brake is too soft, or when you come to a stop on your handlebars, you need to bleed your system. This operation requires special tools and know-how.
WARNING AND ADJUSTMENT
ATTENTION: never brake without a wheel, as you risk sticking the brake pads.
If your disc touches the caliper, proceed as follows to realign the wheel and caliper:
- Loosen the wheel axle
- Brake hard and retighten the wheel axle at the same time
- If the disc still touches the caliper, perform the same operation while loosening the caliper
- If the problem persists, go to the store.

MAINTAINING YOUR BIKE
Please note that cross-country and gravel bikes require special attention. They are often subjected to harsher conditions and more demanding on the equipment.
Regular maintenance is essential to keep your bike in good condition. The transmission must be changed more regularly than for a road bike.
Wheel axles, saddle clamps, stems and other parts need to be checked regularly.
CAN I DO GRAVEL WITH THIS BIKE?
Gravel is an umbrella term for many different types of bike.
This bike is first and foremost a cross-country bike. It is not designed for portaging, and the wheel axles are not reinforced.
The frame has no eyelets for luggage racks or mudguards.
On the other hand, with suitable tires it can accompany you on sporting outings off the beaten track, although the wheels are not designed for descending stony mountain paths.
TRANSMISSION LIFETIME
When buying a bike, it's important to take the cost of maintenance into account when choosing the drivetrain.
The values below are average values, given as an indication, and will vary greatly depending on maintenance.
The average life of a well-maintained CYCLOCROSS chain is 4000 km
The average life of a CYCLOCROSS cassette is 6000-10 0000 km
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RCX 2 AND RCX 2 PRO?
What makes a carbon frame is its geometry, shape and layup. The layup is the assembly of the carbon fibers. Not all fibers have the same properties.
On the RCX 2 frame, we only use high-modulus fibers. On the RCX 2 PRO we have chosen exceptional fibers, which reinforce the rigidity of the frame in the most stressed areas, while saving a little weight.
The RCX 2 PRO is ready to ride at the highest level.
