RCX II
Our new cross-country bike will thrill you on your winter outings on CX terrain. Agile, playful and high-performance, it's the perfect balance for shining on the racetrack.
This frame benefits from numerous improvements over the RCX, including easier mud clearance at the seat tube / seatstay junction.
The main triangle has been raised and the main shape of the head tube has been specially designed to facilitate the passage of the shoulder when carrying.

TRANSMISSION MAINTENANCE
We would like to draw your attention to the need for regular maintenance of your transmission, especially if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads)
Regular maintenance will ensure that your transmission lasts longer.
Regular chain checks are essential with this tool:

REYNOLDS AR41 WHEELS
The Reynolds AR41 tubeless wheels have a 40 mm high profile, so they are streamlined and cut for speed.
The rim profile has been specially designed to minimize wind grip while providing a dynamic wheel.
The internal width of 21 mm is particularly suitable for wide tires, total width of 30 mm which ensures very good rigidity.
Reynolds TR3 hub with only 10° engagement for excellent responsiveness
The frame accepts tires of 40 mm
TIRES
Tires VITTORIA TERRENO MIX CX in 33 section. This is a versatile tire with a 120 TPI nylon carcass.
TUBELESS READY: YES
We strongly advise you to ride tubeless with preventive for greater comfort and to limit the risk of punctures.
The tires are mounted without preventive, please follow the procedure below to finalize the preparation before use with the help of the bottle supplied (60ml per tire): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vv6t7gapiIE
BRAKES
SRAM FORCE disc brakes are hydraulic, so braking is more progressive and powerful than with hydromechanical brakes. 160 mm front and rear discs.
A running-in period is required. Simply make a series of 20 progressive brake applications at low speed (20 km/h), then a second series at 30 km/h. Both brakes need to be run-in.
Running-in improves adhesion between pad and disc.
HYDRAULIC BRAKE MAINTENANCE
Hydraulic brakes operate via a closed circuit between your brake lever and your caliper.
The system is sealed by a hose.
Over time, a normal loss of pressure in your hoses will occur, resulting in a loss of braking efficiency. When your brake is too soft, or when you come to a stop on your handlebars, you need to bleed your system. This operation requires special tools and know-how.
WARNING AND ADJUSTMENT
ATTENTION: never brake without a wheel, as you risk sticking the brake pads.
If your disc touches the caliper, proceed as follows to realign the wheel and caliper:
- Loosen the wheel axle
- Brake hard and retighten the wheel axle at the same time
- If the disc still touches the caliper, perform the same operation while loosening the caliper
- If the problem persists, go to the store.

MAINTAINING YOUR BIKE
Please note that cross-country and gravel bikes require special attention. They are often subjected to harsher conditions and more demanding on the equipment.
Regular maintenance is essential to keep your bike in good condition. The transmission must be changed more regularly than for a road bike.
Wheel axles, saddle clamps, stems and other parts need to be checked regularly.
CAN I DO GRAVEL WITH THIS BIKE?
Gravel is an umbrella term for many different types of bike.
This bike is first and foremost a cross-country bike. It is not designed for portaging, and the wheel axles are not reinforced.
The frame has no eyelets for luggage racks or mudguards.
On the other hand, with suitable tires it can accompany you on sporting outings off the beaten track, although the wheels are not designed for descending stony mountain paths.
TRANSMISSION LIFETIME
When buying a bike, it's important to take the cost of maintenance into account when choosing the drivetrain.
The values below are average values, given as an indication, and will vary greatly depending on maintenance.
The average life of a well-maintained CYCLOCROSS chain is 4000 km
The average life of a CYCLOCROSS cassette is 6000-10 0000 km
WHICH SIZE TO CHOOSE
You should refer to the bike's geometry chart.
If you're between two sizes, a shorter bike will be better suited to cyclists looking for a more responsive, edgier bike. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more stable bike for long-distance riding, the larger size may be the better choice.
