A DECATHLON INNOVATION for learning without little wheels: the EASY SWITCH.
When teaching children to ride a bike, the "draisienne" stage is a fantastic gas pedal for mastering balance!
Our 2-in-1 innovation makes it possible to remove and install the pedals in 10 seconds!
At the start of the learning process, you can offer them the draisienne mode: this will help them get to grips with their new bike, braking and balance...
Then you can offer them the bicycle mode by installing the pedals and cranks. No tools required, and off you go!
INNOVATION Stop Easy: a patented braking system adapted to children.
Our "Stop Easy System" makes brakes more accessible and easier to handle.
For a more natural movement, the brake lever is pressed parallel to the handlebars.
While remaining progressive, this innovative brake lever gives 30% more braking power than a conventional lever.
An innovation from our B'twin team, appreciated by children and parents alike.
FRAME MATERIALS AND SHAPE
Aluminum was the obvious choice for the frame of this model, which we wanted to be as light as possible. And we succeeded!
A great plus for product durability, aluminum also protects against corrosion.
The shape of the frame makes it easy to climb onto the saddle and get off without bumping into the frame.
AS THE CHILD GROWS, SO DOES THE BIKE!
The saddle is height-adjustable between 40.5 cm and 51.5 cm using a BTR wrench (Allen 5), which corresponds to a stature window of 20cm (90cm to 110cm)
The handlebars are also adjustable by 4cm.
ATTENTION: Do not exceed the maximum recommended height on the seat tube and handlebars (marking engraved on the stems).
STABILIZER INFORMATION
Is it possible to add small wheels?
Yes, if your child feels the need. Our Btwin 14" stabilizers are compatible with all our bikes of this size (to fit them, you'll need a 5" wrench (not supplied))
Just be aware that according to several studies, apprentice cyclists are more likely to make the transition to cycling quickly and easily if they have mastered balance in draisienne mode (without pedals).
WHEEL/TIRE INFO
These tires are equipped with an (inflatable) inner tube.
Their shape and pattern give them good efficiency without sacrificing grip on everyday terrain (roads, paths, lawns, etc.).
The design of HONEY COMB tires is exclusive to B'TWIN.
INFORMATION CARTER
To prevent children from putting their fingers where they shouldn't, the mechanical components of the transmission (crank, chain, freewheel, etc.) are enclosed by the housing. It also prevents shoelaces from getting caught and clothes from getting dirty.
The rear of the housing can be easily removed for repairs or chain re-tensioning!
Housing material: plastic.
ACCESSORY INFORMATION
What accessories are supplied with the bike?
A bell, front and rear lights.
To improve visibility, this bike is fitted with reflectors for the wheels (reflective plates fixed to the spokes) and pedals.
To keep the bike and its paintwork in good condition, we recommend that you equip it with a stand (code 8872192).

DESIGN
What inspired this design?
For the Nature version, our designer chose a green that immerses us in the world of flora and fauna. The graphics leave much to the imagination.
For the City model, he opted for a "chic" blue.
The bike's yellow elements are key to its ease of use and learning: brake lever and removable pedals.
Specifically designed by our team of B'TWIN designers and engineers.
