THE NCR AF SERIES
The Neo Racer Aluminium Frame for NCR AF is the first sports bike in our range. It excels in the versatility demanded by beginner road cyclists. It adapts perfectly to outings on the plains or in the mountains. Its wide clearance at the frame even allows 38 tires to be mounted mm to go on rolling trails.
It's a bike with a sporty geometry. Hydraulic disc brakes are there to keep you safe.
ZOOM ON FRAME KIT
The frame is made of 6061 aluminum called "double butted", i.e. the aluminum is worked with 2 different thicknesses along the length of the tubes.
The goal is to reduce weight while ensuring a strong and rigid frame.
The welds are polished for an undeniable aesthetic effect.
The fork is made of carbon for more precise steering and weight savings
THE COCKPIT
The NCR AF TIAGRA is fully equipped with the SHIMANO TIAGRA (4700) .
The complete weight of the band in disc version is 3350g.
This groupset allows for reliable and precise shifting. It also allows you to offer hydraulic disc braking. The handles are slim and compact, the ergonomics are optimized to easily reach the levers from the hoods. (R4720 Shifters)
It benefits from the latest developments made by Shimano on high-end groupsets.
DEVELOPMENTS
The bike is equipped with a double chainring SHIMANO TIAGRA (FC 4700) in 48/34.
The 48 allows you to pedal more frequently and to stay more often in the middle of the cassette.
10-speed cassette ( CS-HG500-10 ) with the following gearing:

If you want to change the cassette, the derailleur accepts a maximum of 34 teeth. (RD 4700 GS)

TRANSMISSION MAINTENANCE
We would like to draw your attention to the need for regular maintenance of your transmission, particularly if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads)
Regular maintenance will ensure that your transmission lasts longer.
Regular chain inspection is essential, using a wear tester available from Decathlon (part no. 8351086).
TRANSMISSION LIFETIME
When buying a bike, it's important to take the cost of maintenance into account when choosing the drivetrain.
The values below are average values, given as an indication, and will vary greatly depending on maintenance.
The average life of a well-maintained chain is 5,000 km
The average life of a cassette is 10,000-12,000 km
A poorly maintained chain can cause chain jumping and damage to the frame.
DISC BRAKES
SHIMANO TIAGRA disc brakes with 160 mm discs front and rear.
TIAGRA SHIMANO disc brakes are hydraulic, so braking is more progressive and powerful than with hydromechanical brakes.
A running-in period is required. Simply make a series of 20 progressive brake applications at low speed (20 km/h), and a second series at 30 km/h. Both brakes need to be run-in.
Running-in improves adhesion between pad and disc.
HYDRAULIC BRAKE MAINTENANCE
Hydraulic brakes operate via a closed circuit between your brake lever and your caliper.
The system is sealed by a hose.
Over time, a normal loss of pressure in your hoses will occur, resulting in a loss of braking efficiency. When your brake is too soft, or when you come to a stop on your handlebars, you need to bleed your system. This operation requires special tools and know-how.
WARNING AND ADJUSTMENT
ATTENTION: never brake with no load, if there is no wheel, you risk sticking the pads.
If your disc touches, please proceed as follows to realign the wheel and the caliper:
- Loosen the wheel axle
- Brake hard and retighten the wheel axle at the same time
- If the disc still touches, you'll need to do the same operation while loosening the caliper
- If the problem persists, go to the store.

TUBELESS OR INNER TUBE
We recommend that you use the tubeless valve supplied with your bike to convert your tires to tubeless.
Tubeless tires provide greater comfort, better performance and allow the tire to repair itself in the event of small pinches.
Of course, an inner tube is always essential in your repair kit in the event of a puncture with a large hole in the tire.

WHICH SIZE TO CHOOSE
You should refer to the bike's geometry chart.
If you're between two sizes, a shorter bike will be better suited to cyclists looking for a more responsive, edgier bike. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more composed bike for long-distance riding, the larger size may be the better choice.
