How to choose your size of electric VTC?
3 sizes of electric bike (men and women) are available:
- Size S from 1.50 m to 1.65 m.
- Size M from 1.66 m to 1.77 m.
- Size L from 1.78 m to 1.90 m.
If you're on the borderline between 2 sizes:
Choose the smaller size for a more upright position.
Choose the larger size for a more reclined position.
Electric VTC autonomy and assistance modes
The assistance modes help you reach a speed of 25km/h, beyond which you will no longer be helped by the motor.
0 - Assistance deactivated
1 - Gentle assistance - 70km range in normal conditions
2 - Moderate assistance - 60km range in normal conditions
3 - "Boost" assistance for more difficult climbs - 40km range in normal conditions
Range varies according to weight carried (user + load), altitude difference and outside temperature.
Electric VTC motor: unleash the watts
How powerful is the motor on this electric VTC?
Its 36-volt brushless rear-wheel motor has a power rating of 250 Watts.
It develops a maximum motor torque of 42 Nm.
This value is used to assess the bike's ability to negotiate uneven terrain.
The motor is also coupled to a cadence sensor that provides electric assistance based on pedaling motion.
What is the purpose of the assistance sensor on an electric mountain bike?
On an electric VTC, the sensor triggers the assistance.
On the RS 100E, an ultra-reactive cadence sensor (24 magnets) provides smooth, fluid assistance.
Bonus info: the higher the number of magnets, the more responsive and therefore smoother the assistance.
All you need to know about the battery of this electric VTC
This all-terrain electric bike has a battery equipped with LG or Samsung 36V 10.5Ah lithium-ion cells with a capacity of 378Wh.
It is key-secured (two keys supplied with the bike) with a clamping system to avoid any vibration.
The battery is removable for easy recharging.

Connect your bike and unleash its full potential!
The free DECATHLON RIDE app allows you to:
1. get a real-time dashboard (instant speed, distance covered, battery level, etc.)
2. find detailed statistics (route taken, assistance mode used on each section, average speed).
These functions require you to keep your phone with you, connected to the bike via Bluetooth, for the duration of the bike ride.
Use of the app is not necessary to use the bike.

- with Apple devices: iOS 8 and higher
- with Android phones: Android 7 and higher.
How does the electric mountain bike control screen work?
The RS 100E electric VTC has a backlit LED display that's easy to read both day and night.
It's located near the left handlebar, so you can easily choose between the 3 assistance modes
You can also control the headlights and Walk mode.
The remaining range is indicated by an LED slider
The display will soon be Bluetooth-connectable to the Decathlon E Ride app for even more functionality.
A frame designed to combine lightness and comfort
The RS100E electric VTC mixed frame has been designed by our engineers in lightweight 6061 aluminum. Its
lowered geometry makes it easier to straddle, so this frame provides you with optimum comfort whether you're a man or a woman.
To enable you to accessorize it as you wish, inserts for bottle cages and luggage racks complete the VTC frame.
The removable derailleur hanger can be changed if necessary.

To ensure maximum comfort on every trail, our designers have used the Suntour suspension fork, spring-loaded and adjustable according to the user's weight:

The VTC RS100E has 6 gears with twistgrip shifting Shimano easy to handle on the handlebars even with gloves!

All-terrain tires: put on the rubber
We've chosen to equip the RS100 E mountain bike with comfortable, versatile, puncture-resistant "CST PIKA" tires to ensure you'll be able to go anywhere.
In addition, we've opted for self-sealing inner tubes to reduce pressure loss and increase puncture resistance.
The recommended pressure for these tires is between 4 and 5 bars (details on the tire sidewalls).

28-inch double-walled wheels to take you further!
Go for a ride with the riverside 100E VTC. Equipped with black, double-walled aluminium rims, it can take on any trail.
For transporting your bike, a quick-release front wheel lock makes it easy to remove.

Lighting
The Riverside 100E mountain bike features integrated, battery-powered lighting.
The front light is mounted on the fork and the rear light on the underside of the saddle.
The wiring is integrated into the frame and seatpost.
This is a powerful 20 lux LED light with a wide light beam (120 lumen to see and be seen at 130°).
The lighting is controlled from the handlebars, on the control screen.
