Its sleek design, rigid steel frame and 44x18 development give it the responsive feel you'd expect. It's been designed with quality components to give you the best riding sensations.
An agile bike
With its steel fork, the Single Speed 500 absorbs shocks perfectly, making it easy to take on sidewalks and other obstacles to tame the city! Its 520 mm aluminum handlebars are an asset for getting around town, as is its 60 mm stem, also in aluminum, to increase your bike's responsiveness. Its specific 18T FIXIE/BMX freewheel has 30 pawls (instead of 20 for a standard freewheel) for better grip and balance.
Drive safely
If the speed 500 lets you go fast, it's also got excellent braking. Calipers with cartridge brake pads increase caliper rigidity, for improved responsiveness and braking efficiency. This bike has aluminum wheels with double-wall rims, and its tires (30 TPI mesh) are fitted with a nylon protector that greatly enhances puncture resistance.
Want to switch to a fixie?
Please note that this bike is sold as a single speed. If you wish to use it as a fixie, it is equipped with a compatible flip/flop rear hub. To switch to fixie mode, you need to buy the fixed screw-in sprocket (24TPI thread, 1.37" diameter, standard) and the locknut (24TPI, 1.29" diameter). Then turn your wheel over. You can buy these components as spare parts on our website or in our workshops.
How do I choose the right size for my bike?
Bike size is a key factor.
The frame is available in 4 sizes:
size S (from 1.50m to 1.60m)
size M (from 1.60m to 1.70m)
size L (from 1.70m to 1.85m)
size XL ( from 1.85m to 2m)
Good to know: the bike has been designed to be agile and responsive. If you're between sizes, opt for the smaller format for greater responsiveness or choose a larger size for greater comfort.
