A 3-in-1 concept for every situation

With its 3in1 system, the jacket is ideal for cold conditions (down to -10°C) as well as warm weather.
You can leave the inner layer at home and take only the rain jacket with you. You can also use the inner jacket alone as a mid-layer over a t-shirt and sweater.
With just one jacket, you have 3 options!

The advantages of a down comforter filled with duck down and feathers

Down's capacity to expand gives it 3 important qualities for your hikes:
- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers
- Ultra-lightness: for equal warmth, feathers are lighter than synthetic wadding. This saves even more weight in the backpack
- Ultra-compressibility

How do you measure the loft of down and feather fillings?

Loft represents the thermal insulation capacity of down by "trapping" a certain volume of air. It is expressed in CUIN.
So the more lofty the down (the higher the number of CUIN), the more space it occupies, the more air it traps and therefore the more insulating it is.
For this down jacket, the loft is guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 660 CUIN (European standard).

Waterproof jacket components

The impermeability of a fabric, ensured by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerber or mm H²0 (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher the number, the more waterproof the fabric.

TESTS

This jacket is first tested in the laboratory, on a whole range of factors (warmth, waterproofing, resistance). It is then tested by a small panel of users at our global development center, on items such as comfort, fit and practicality.
