Important usage restrictions
The decree of October 5, 2020 on the collective hunting of big game stipulates that hunters and companions must wear a fully fluorescent top garment, which does not include bi-colors.
This jacket is suitable for hunting small game, but must not be used for hunting big game in battues.
Garment resistance: an essential factor for woodland hunters
Hunters, their dogs and their way of looking at the territory differ from one biotope to another, but all wood hunting enthusiasts have a common need: to have clothing that is resistant to vegetation and compartmentalized environments, where branches tangle and it's difficult to make your way through. That's why this jacket is particularly resistant to brambles, thorns and aggressive vegetation. It is reinforced.
An EPI-certified hunting jacket for greater safety during your hunting outings
A high-visibility PPE garment complies with the European standard specifying the characteristics of items whose purpose is to visually signal the presence of the wearer (in this case, the hunter) in order to detect and see him clearly in all situations. For added safety, this vest enables its wearer to be better seen in many biotopes and types of vegetation, particularly in dense wooded environments. Please note: this product is PPE for non-professional use.
FREE YOURSELF FROM RAIN AND DRIPPING TREES: THE RENFORT 520 JACKET IS WATERPROOF
With a waterproof rating of 5000mm, the RENFORT 520 jacket offers a high level of waterproofing. A fabric's resistance to water pressure is measured in mm water column (test based on ISO 811). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Our jacket component therefore withstands 5000mm of water pressure (roughly equivalent to a heavy downpour). This article has been validated in a shower test under 100 liters of water/m²/h for 3 hours.
A jacket that's also water-repellent. But what are we talking about?
As well as making rain and soggy woods a thing of the past, this jacket is also water-repellent. A fabric's water repellency is its ability to let water slide off its surface, without absorbing it. This means the fabric doesn't soak up water, remaining light, breathable and warm. By the way, did we mention that the seams and zips on this model are waterproof?
A functional, practical product with easily accessible pockets
This product must not be covered by other items (such as a backpack), so that you remain clearly visible. What's more, when you put it on, you won't be breaking any hunting safety codes. This jacket, with fluorescent-orange inserts, has plenty of storage capacity: there are two large 3-in-1 lower pockets with snap flaps, plus an inner pocket on the heart side.
The little extras of this garment
Inside these two lower 3-in-1 pockets, you'll find a zipped pocket (for keys, documents or license) and a cartridge pouch for 5 rounds of ammunition (10 in all). On this jacket, our hunter designers also thought of adding 2 hooks to keep your dog's remote control collar within easy reach. A hood is concealed in the collar, and there's a large game pouch (which can be fully opened for cleaning).
A few more facts about breathability
Primarily designed for snipe hunters, but also for all small game hunters who work in difficult terrain, this technical jacket features zippered side vents for improved ventilation. Finally, its breathable mesh interior facilitates the evacuation of perspiration: extremely useful when you're walking many kilometers behind your dogs in search of fumes.
