TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Waterproofing 1/2

We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (test based on JIS standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric.
On our sailing 100 jacket Warm:
Component resistant to a water pressure of 5000mm Schmerber (JIS standard). This is equivalent to the average pressure exerted by water during a rain shower.
The waterproofness of the jacket has been tested under a rainfall of 60 liters of water/m²/hour for 2 hours.

Waterproofing 2/2

- High collar
- Injected plastic zipper to prevent salt oxidation
- Water-repellent components (water runs off fabric)
- 100% taped seams
- Central opening with flap and gutter flap for optimum waterproofing

Water-repellent

A fabric's water repellency is its ability to let water slide off its surface without absorbing it.
This means your jacket won't become waterlogged, remaining light and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outer face of the fabric, but in use these properties can be altered.
Water repellency can be reactivated by tumbling the jacket in a tumble dryer for 10 minutes at low temperature.

How do I reactivate water repellency?

Drying is essential to reactivate the water-repellent treatment.
We recommend that you let your jacket dry completely in the open air, flat on a drying rack. Never dry your jacket directly on a radiator.
Then tumble dry on the synthetic program for a short time (10 to 15 minutes) before putting it back on. Be careful not to over-dry the garment.

Heat :

The jacket is lined with 150g/m2 wadding on the body and 100g/m2 on the sleeves. This provides thermal protection and an incredible feeling of warmth (between -5 and -10 degrees
The jacket remains lightweight (880g in size L).

Hood

The hood is not stored in the collar, but is attached to it.
Hood fully adjustable in height and depth and lined with wadding (100g/m2).
Visor for a good level of protection and better support.
The high collar effectively protects the neck.

Pockets

2 front zipped pockets lined with fleece, guaranteed warmth.
1 inside pocket on left breast closed with Velcro
ATTENTION: pockets are NOT WATERPROOF.

Jacket fastening

Full-length zip with padded outer flap and inner gutter for wind and water protection.

Breathability

9 < RET < 12 = tissu respirant
Le RET de la veste Sailing 100 est respirante
