How is the comfort temperature measured?
We test each of our products in the laboratory to give you an indicative comfort value. This is measured without tights for pants, and with a thermal T-shirt and fleece for jackets. The measurement indicated is that of the outside temperature at which the testers felt neither hot nor cold. This feeling differs, of course, according to the intensity of the activity, but also according to each individual's metabolism.
How should you dress to stay warm on the slopes?
To stay warm and dry, apply the 3-layer rule: Layer 1 or second skin, to stay dry. Layer 2 or insulating layer, to retain heat. Layer 3, or protective layer, to keep out the elements.
How is fabric waterproofness measured?
The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is measured in mm water column (test based on ISO 811). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This component, with a waterproofness of 10000mm, will therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 10000mm of water.
For skiing, we recommend components ranging from 3000mm to 20000mm.
Washing tips
To optimize the performance and durability of your ski jacket or pants, we recommend:
* Machine wash at 30°, synthetic program.
* Turn inside out.
* Use very little detergent. Do not use fabric softener.
* We recommend spinning between 800 and 1200 rpm.
* Dry flat or in a tumble dryer (preferred). This stage is very important to dry the inner fibers thoroughly and give your jacket its fullness.
