Hood:
We've designed and improved this jacket to make riding a pleasure whatever the weather!
The hood is removable and trimmed with synthetic fur. Remove it for machine washing.
The fur is cleverly tucked inside the hood to prevent it from getting wet in wet weather, and to provide warmth for your ears.
Adjust the depth of the hood to suit your needs with a Velcro fastening.
Pockets :
In winter, pockets are indispensable for storing gloves, keys, telephone, rewards for our faithful companion and keeping his hands warm.
There are 4 zipped pockets on this jacket:
2 front pockets, very cosy for your hands.
1 well camouflaged inside pocket
1 breast pocket with access from the outside, for greater ease.
All pockets are built with waterproof zips if needed to protect your personal belongings from the rain.
Sleeves:
The sleeves are preformed, and we've chosen a stretch component under the arms for even greater comfort.
A comfortable sleeve insulates against air ingress and sits snugly on your wrist.
Sweat evacuation
Horse-riding is a demanding sport that causes temperatures to rise sharply during exertion.
To stay warm and comfortable, you can activate the mechanical ventilations by opening the side zips to generate air circulation and avoid the feeling of dampness that cools you down over time.
It's up to you to adjust the dosage according to your needs and how you feel!
Heat :
We've kept a close eye on you to design this parka, because you need different levels of warmth for different phases of practice (preparation, warm-up, work...) and for different areas of your body. That's why the wadding thicknesses vary according to the zone protected, to ensure comfort and warmth at all times.
But as we're all different, it's up to you to add a second layer in case of extreme cold, or to regulate by opening the vents to avoid overheating.
Measuring the impermeability of a fabric :
This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 liters of water/m²/hour for 2 hours.
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (test based on ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm will therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water, roughly equivalent to a 2-hour shower.
