ABRASION-RESISTANT
To get you out on the trails without worrying about branches and leaves, our design team has selected a tightly woven fabric.
The result? This is a real mountain bike jacket that resists the various abrasions encountered during your rides (water bag straps, branches...).
SMART DESIGN: CUT, SEAMS, MATERIALS...
The bib on the back comes down to saddle height to protect you from splashes.
The different materials provide warmth, ventilation and resistance.
The neckband is perforated in front of the mouth and nose. It's detachable for easy storage in the pocket.
THE POCKETS
- On the back, right-hand side: 1 secure, water-repellent telephone pocket (size 18 cm x 12 cm); easy to open when riding with long gloves.
- On the left-hand side: 1 secure, water-repellent zipped pocket (size 11 cm x 7 cm) for your keys / CB
- Above the latter: 1 multi-purpose elasticated pocket (size 10 cm x 10 cm) for your cereal bars, etc.
- In the center: 1 mesh pocket (size 10 cm x 14 cm) for your neck strap.
WHAT IS WATER-REPELLENT FABRIC?
A water-repellent fabric lets water slide off its surface, delaying absorption. As a result, the fabric does not become waterlogged and remains lightweight. Water-repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outer surface of the fabric.
HOW TO PRESERVE WATER RELEASE?
The water-repellency treatment applied to the outer surface of the fabric needs to be reactivated over the life of the garment. Our advice: regularly use a TEXTILE WATERPROOFING LIQUID (or spray).
THE 3 LAYERS FOR STAYING WARM ON A MOUNTAIN BIKE
How do you stay warm and dry on your winter mountain bike tours?
We explain the 3-layer technique for the upper body:
- A first breathable layer to wick away perspiration
- A second insulating layer to retain heat
- A third layer to protect against the elements (waterproof, windproof, etc.)
