TECHNICAL INFORMATION

COMPONENT IMPERMEABILITY

We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (test based on JIS 1092 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 l of water / m² / hour for 1 hour. This test reproduces average mountain shower conditions.
A component with a waterproof rating of 5,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 5,000 mm of water (roughly equivalent to a 1-hour shower).

COMPONENT BREATHABILITY

TESTS

Our team of designers is based at the foot of Mont-Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we design and develop products that are beautiful, simple and technical. We then test them mercilessly in the field, because we are convinced that only real-life situations such as you will experience can enable us to constantly improve.

Approved by

To meet your requirements, Quechua products are tested in the mountains, in the conditions you may encounter on your hikes.
Sarah, our Field Test Engineer, and a panel of child testers test our products throughout their development, right up to the time they are launched on the market.
