Cut
This jacket has a cut that adapts to all silhouettes, while still being feminine. A warm layer, such as a fleece or light sweater, can be worn underneath. An inner lining also provides extra comfort.
You can choose your usual size, or a size up if you don't want to wear it slim-fitting.
Removable hood
The hood is removable with snap fasteners. It can be adjusted in height with an elasticated drawcord, and in depth with a Velcro tab at the back of the hood.
Jacket construction
This jacket is constructed with 2 coated layers, including a mesh lining.
"2 layers" means the outer fabric and the lining.
A resin-like coating is applied to the inside of the fabric, making the component waterproof yet breathable. The jacket's inner lining protects this coating.
Waterproof test
Impermeability is measured by a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (JIS 1092 standard).
The higher the pressure, the more impermeable the fabric.
The component in this product has an impermeability of 5,000 mm and therefore resists the pressure exerted by 5,000 mm water column.
This is also equivalent to 5,000 Schmerbers.
Breathability test
The breathability of a component is measured by its "Thermal Evaporative Resistance" (RET).
This is its ability to let water vapor produced by the body during exertion escape to the outside, thus preventing the accumulation of water on the skin.
The lower the RET value, the more breathable the fabric.
RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric
RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric
RET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric
Our product has a RET of 12.
How do I reactivate the water repellency of my jacket?
A fabric's water repellency is its ability to let water slide off its surface, without absorbing it. As a result, your jacket won't become waterlogged, and remains light and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outer face of the fabric, but in use these properties can be altered.
