Why is our jacket water-repellent?

The jacket lets water run off the surface, without infiltrating the fabric. The shoulders are well protected thanks to the waterproof seams. The other, less exposed seams are conventional and not waterproof.
So your jacket lets you continue jogging in the event of light rain.
