WATERPROOFING MEANS :
- A DEPERLANT TREATMENT
A fluorine-free chemical recipe placed on the surface of the fabric, which allows water to slide off the surface of the component. This treatment can be reactivated by the action of heat (use of tumble dryer - gentle program 10').
- A WATERPROOF ASSEMBLY
The aim is to prevent water penetrating through seam holes by using sealing strips placed under the seams.
- A WATERPROOF COMPONENT
A fabric's ability to prevent water penetration.
WATERPROOFING MEASUREMENT
Impermeability is measured in Schmerber or mmH2O (pressure exerted by a column of water).
A component with a value of 10,000 mm will withstand 10 meters of water.
The higher the number, the more impermeable the fabric.
NIGHT-TIME VISIBILITY
This PPE-certified jacket to standard NF EN17353 enables cyclists to move around at night, thanks to the standardized reflective bands encircling the arms and torso.
The position of the visibility elements has been designed to take account of the cyclist's constraints (leaning forward, wearing a backpack, directional signalling with the arm, etc.), guaranteeing 360° visibility at a distance of 50 m at night in the presence of car headlights.
A CUT ADAPTED TO URBAN MOBILITY
The 540 jacket is designed to accompany the urban cyclist in rainy weather.
Its cut, adapted to women's morphology with an adjustable waist, allows good freedom of movement and covers the lower back, arms, neck and wrists in the position on the bike, providing excellent protection from rain and wind.
Zipped openings under the arms provide good ventilation.
Helmet can be worn under or over the helmet.
COMPONENT BREATHABILITY
Hydrophilic coating (RET=12): helps wick perspiration away from the garment. To determine whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its RET evaporative resistance (test based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the resistance, the more water vapor generated by the active body can escape, and therefore the more breathable the fabric.
