Is the fleece warm?
Based on the same principle as animal fur or feathers, the brushed interior of this fleece efficiently retains heat by trapping air. Its wrist cuffs reduce the ingress of cold air and keep you warm during outdoor activities.
Why is fleece so warm?
Polar fleece, made from synthetic fibers, aims to reproduce the performance of wool: warmth, thermal insulation, while being lighter. It's soft, comfortable, quick-drying and breathable.
A soft but not fragile component
To guarantee their quality, our products undergo rigorous testing. We check their resistance to pilling, fading and repeated washing. Abrasion resistance is measured by the martindale test, which subjects a fabric sample to repeated rubbing.
A comfortable, practical fleece
The cut and stretch fabric of this fleece offer the freedom of movement you need when hiking on snow. Zipped pockets secure your essentials, while the warm hood makes it perfect for cold weather.
Dressing for a snow outing
To face winter, follow the 3-layer principle:
1) Technical, breathable underwear.
2) Sweater or fleece for warmth and moisture transfer.
3) Jacket for protection against the elements.
Make sure the whole ensemble is breathable to wick away moisture.
How to care for fleece
To machine-wash your fleece without damaging it, choose a program at 40° max. Turn inside out and check that all pockets are closed. Do not exceed 1000 rpm for the spin cycle to protect the fabric. Do not use a tumble dryer.
