What is a softshell?
The softshell component is a high-tech fabric that combines 3 materials: a breathable, windproof microporous membrane sandwiched between a water-repellent fabric on the outside and a warm, comfortable fleece on the inside. The properties of this highly technical material bring you thermal comfort, breathability, lightness and ease of movement, thanks to the stretchy, warm component combined with protection.
Thermal comfort and windproofness
Wind considerably increases the sensation of cold.
For example, at an outside temperature of 0°, with 20km of wind the perceived temperature will be -10°.
Windproof components eliminate the discomfort associated with this "freezing effect". By forming a barrier against the wind, they effectively reduce heat loss.
What is water repellency?
Not to be confused with waterproofing!
Functionality obtained by applying a hydrophobic water-repellent treatment to the fabric. This process prevents water from adhering to the surface of the fabric, thus limiting its ability to absorb water. When we add the idea of movement, water can glide over the fabric, a phenomenon known as water repellency. Thanks to water repellency, water doesn't soak the outer fabric, so the jacket stays light, doesn't retain moisture and dries faster.
Comfort
A thin layer of wadding (60 gr/m2) applied to the forearms for greater comfort when carrying the weapon.
For those who prefer to carry the weapon on the shoulder, an extra layer of polyurethane foam (8 mm ) has been integrated.

Cutting information
Close-fitting cut. Inner volume enables this jacket to be worn with a thin micro-fleece 2nd layer.
