TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Practice-friendly setting

We've designed a new aluminum frame for greater comfort and lightness. Its pronounced sloping design adapts to children from 135cm to 150cm and integrates 26-inch wheels: budding cyclists can easily get on and off the bike thanks to the low step-over.

Why 26-inch wheels?

Go anywhere with less effort! With its larger wheels, this 26" mountain bike enables intrepid youngsters (1m35-1m50) to tackle challenging terrain. Indeed, the larger diameter makes it easier to absorb roots and scree. On descents, the frame remains more horizontal, making it easier to steer.
A larger wheel also makes for a more comfortable ride, so you can cover more distance in a single pedal turn!

Gear shifting: single-plate shifting like the pros!

Discover the efficiency and ease of a single chainring:
1 chainring with 34 teeth and 7 gears (Mega range freewheel in 14-34). With just 1 lever on the handlebars, shifting gears is child's play. The trigger lets you shift up or down with a flick of the finger.
The transmission range lets you accelerate on the flat and tackle climbs without compromise.

Master braking!

Because children's hands are smaller than adults', it's not easy for them to grasp the brake lever. That's why we've designed a handlebar-like shape that's easy for them to grasp.
The lever's aluminum finish makes it pleasant to the touch.
These levers are connected to 2 V-brake-type pad brakes.
They consist of 2 calipers fitted with pads that exert varying degrees of pressure on the rim to slow or stop wheel rotation.

Front suspension

The front suspension allows you to tackle your first obstacles with complete peace of mind on slightly uneven trails.

No rear suspension

This mountain bike has no rear suspension.
This is a "semi-rigid" mountain bike: ideal for beginners and first family mountain bike rides.
Compared with a "full-suspension" mountain bike (with rear suspension), the advantage is simple: the mountain bike is lighter! You lose less energy on flat terrain

An ergonomic, reinforced saddle

A saddle with a sporty design, conceived by us to adapt to children's morphology. It features a plastic shell at the rear (bumper) to protect it from impact.

Crankset

The new aluminum crankset has a crank length of 152 mm which is adapted to the child's leg length. This lightweight crankset makes it easier to start pedaling.
The double casing surrounding the chain prevents it from derailing.

Handlebars, stem, handles

With its 15° upward-angled stem, the ST 500 26" mountain bike's cockpit is elevated, accessible and comfortable
More details:
-Aluminum stem, length 60 mm, with a 15° angle for maximum comfort
-Steel handlebars, 580 mm wide, adapted to children's shoulder width
-Slat handles, in "soft touch" material, for good grip and a soft, pleasant feel
