How to shear your pet?
Dirt and sand in your pet's hair can cause severe wear to the blades. So wash and dry your pet thoroughly before clipping. It's essential to gradually accustom your pet to the sound of the clippers, by gently approaching them with soft words and stroking them to reassure them.
Then
When shearing, start with the face and throat, then continue with the neck, back, croup, flanks and belly. We then return to the front for the chest, and finish with the legs (legs are easier to shear when extended).
Lay the cutting guide flat on your animal's coat, and progress slowly in the direction of hair regrowth, taking care to remain parallel to the skin.
Finally
Proceed in successive strips, and try to go as far as possible in your movement, so as not to have to go over the same spot several times.
Areas such as the face and throat that are to be clipped flush will be clipped back. To trim the ends of the legs, place the blade along the nail bed, then slowly work backwards along each finger. Be careful not to cut between the fingers.
